Dragonfly Dreams...
Dragonfly Dreams is one of my favorite sets out of the 2017 Occasions Catalog. My husband's family associates dragonflies with my late sister-in-law, Annmarie, so they remind me of her. When I received the new catalog, I knew this was one of the first sets I would be purchasing. We had a class featuring this bundle so I thought I'd share a couple of those projects today. The first card was inspired by one I saw from another demonstrator and I love the way she masked the dragonfly in the center, then did lots of sponging and adding layers of elements to the card, but it's still completely smooth. Tons of great texture without the bulk. GENIUS! The colors used on this card are Early Espresso and Very Vanilla card stock with Early Espresso, Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze and Whisper White inks. Markers and the White Chalk Marker were used to color the dragonfly. The texture was added with the Timeless Textures stamp set.
This next card features the bee image from the stamp set and dies. I also has some of our Sale-a-bration DSP, but any floral paper would work. The bee image has 3 layers - the black die cut bee, Vellum card stock under the wings colored yellow, then the back image which was stamped, hand cut the curved with the bone folder for dimension. The words are from the Sunshine Sayings stamp set. I used Daffodil Delight, Basic Black and Whisper White for the color scheme and the circles used were the 1-1/2" and 1-3/4" Circle Punches.
