DIY Gift Bag Using Designer Series Paper
Our project today is this adorable DIY gift bag using some of our Designer Series Paper. It's perfect for holding up to 12-15 cards and envelopes or any other small gift. The finished bag dimensions are 6" tall, 5" wide, and 2" deep. This is a great way to use up some of the 12" x 12" Designer Paper you have laying around. Tip - make sure it's a non-directional pattern, that it's double sided, and both sides coordinate or compliment each other.
The paper is cut to 9" wide and 12" long. The remaining 3" in cut in half long ways, so you have 2 pieces of 1-1/2" x 12". You will adhere these to each end of the bag (see video). Score the 9" side at 2" and 7", then score the 12" side at 5" and 7". Watch the video below for assemble instructions.
Here's the first sample. I used a piece of the Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper pack #152488. The ribbon is about 12" of Mint Macaron 1/2" Basket Weave Ribbon #153553. I used a 2" x 4-1/4" piece of Whisper White for the tag and punched with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch #133324. I punched a Small Bloom #152316 out of Rococo Rose card stock. The sentiment is from the Peaceful Moments stamp set #151595 in Rococo Rose ink.
This Christmas bag features the Poinsettia Place Designer Series Paper #153487. I used 12" f Real Red 3/8" Sheer Ribbon #153535. The sentiment is from the Wrapped In Christmas stamp set #153481 and stamped in Real Red ink.
