Stamping and Heat Embossing the Focal Image

The Exciting Times bundle includes fun birthday-themed stamps and a punch that perfectly matches the images. Choose a focal image, such as one of the frames, and stamp it onto a piece of smooth cardstock. Include a sentiment inside the box.

To make the image pop, apply VersaMark ink to the stamped design, sprinkle White heat embossing powder over it, and use a heat tool to melt the powder. This creates a shiny, raised finish that adds elegance and dimension.

After heat embossing, use the coordinating punch to cut out the image cleanly. This precision helps the focal point stand out on the card.

Adding Ribbon and Embellishments for Texture

Ribbon adds softness and a splash of color to your card. Wrap a length of ribbon around the card front or designer paper layer and secure it on the back with tape or glue. Tie a small bow or knot for added charm.

Embellishments like sequins, enamel dots, or small gems bring sparkle and interest. Place them strategically around the focal image or along the ribbon to balance the design. These small details make the card feel thoughtfully crafted.

Tips for Personalizing Your Card

  • Use different color combinations to match the recipient’s favorite hues.

  • Swap out the ribbon for twine or lace for a different texture.

  • Add a handwritten message inside to make the card more personal.

  • Experiment with layering multiple embossing folders for unique patterns.

  • Try heat embossing sentiments for a coordinated look.
